The Story Behind the Strategy

My career began with a love for technology, sparked at a young age after receiving a Commodore 64—a gift that ignited my curiosity and set me on a path of exploration and problem-solving. That early fascination eventually led me to launch my first business—a computer services, website development, and book publishing company.

That entrepreneurial experience opened the door to my first corporate role at Owens-Illinois, where I worked in the Quality department and was responsible for partnering with the IT team on Y2K readiness projects—an incredible opportunity for a young woman from the heart of Detroit, newly navigating the challenges of single parenthood and balancing work with family responsibilities. The leaders I was exposed to during that time gave me valuable insight into the importance of coaching and developing others, sparking a lasting passion for helping people grow. At the time, I didn’t think of it as the start of a “career”—I was simply focused on doing the work, providing for my family, and making the most of every opportunity that came my way.

Over the next 25 years, I served in senior executive roles at Fortune 500 companies—including 3M, GE, GM, Libbey Glass, and Owens-Illinois—leading global supply chain, sourcing, and procurement operations with spend portfolios up to $18 billion. Alongside my corporate career, I have served on multiple public, private, and nonprofit boards and advisory roles, and I have had the privilege to speak to audiences on leadership, transformation, innovation, and the importance of preserving personal histories.

In 2012, after my mother was diagnosed with early-onset dementia in her fifties, I recognized how easily family stories can fade. That experience inspired me to launch Memories In Writing LLC to help individuals capture and preserve their life histories. In 2024, I expanded the mission with the Memories In Writing Foundation, a nonprofit providing free story preservation tools to seniors, veterans, caregivers, students, and underserved communities.

In 2023, I founded Rhondia LLC to provide executive consulting and acquire innovative businesses—including the 2025 acquisition of Infield SalesPro dba Vision-e, a Salesforce Partner since 2011 serving over one million users worldwide. Across every endeavor, my mission remains the same: blend innovation, strategy, and humanity to create lasting impact.
